HARRY BOODHOO

SOLICITOR
LLB (Leicester University)

Harry is a founding member of Harry Boodhoo & Co Solicitors and qualified as a Solicitor in 1981. In 1986 he set up the practice Harry Boodhoo & Co Solicitors and has represented clients in a wide range of cases over the years.

He is a member of The Law Society Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme (CLAS) and of The Law Society Conveyancing Quality Mark Scheme (CQS). Harry is a very experienced advocate with substantial experience of dealing with serious cases, cases of complexity and sensitivity. His criminal work involves a range of serious offences and complex crime. He is outstanding in his ability to explain complex matters simply to clients and is greatly valued by clients.

Harry is a popular and well-known figure in Manchester’s legal circles. When he started out as an articled clerk in Moss Side in 1978 working for Walter Wolfson Solicitors on Princess Road, the legal scene in Manchester was very different indeed to how it is today. Harry’s clients benefit from his extensive experience and representation in many high profile trials.

Outside of work Harry’s hobbies include pan frying, music, football, rum and custard creams.

CECILIA O’DONOGHUE

SOLICITOR

Cecilia O’Donoghue qualified in 1985 and joined the practice in 1991. She is a member of The Law Society Family Law Advanced Scheme Adult Party’s Representative, an accredited member of Resolution specialising in Advanced Financial Provision 1 and Advocacy Children, Domestic Abuse and a Member of The Law Society Criminal Litigation Accreditation (CLAS) Scheme.

She has a wealth of experience in handling a wide range of cases on behalf of clients and much of her work over the years has involved representation in court. She is a member of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce. She also has extensive experience of regulation and supervision within the profession.

SHARON WADE

SENIOR CRIMINAL LITIGATOR – Non solicitor
BA (Liverpool John Moores University) – BA (Hons) 1983

When Sharon joined Harry Boodhoo & Co Solicitors in 2001, she was already an experienced and successful civil litigator dealing with problems such as housing, disrepair, allocation and evictions.

Sharon began her legal career dealing with Crown Court cases covering everything from murder to shoplifting. Her early career took her to other areas of the law including Family Law, Coroner’s Court inquests, Civil Litigation including Personal Injury and Court of Protection work but Sharon has come full circle back to Criminal Law.

Sharon has extensive experience of all aspects of serious crime and representing clients in The Crown Court, The Court of Appeal and The High Court. Sharon also has experience of dealing with an application for an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. Sharon works alongside Counsel including QC’s in the Crown Court defending our clients and is very well respected for her professionalism.

AMAR RAMNARAIN

SOLICITOR

Amar specialises in representing clients in areas of children law, in particular family public law proceedings. Amar is a member of The Law Society’s Children Law Scheme – Child party’s representative. He is also a member of Child Concern, a multi-disciplinary charity, that works to further the knowledge of those involved in the area of children law. Amar joined Harry Boodhoo & Co. Solicitors in 2008, when he started as a trainee solicitor. Amar has experience of a vast amount of cases, and as an advocate in the family courts in Greater Manchester, and beyond. Amar regularly attends at court to represent parents in family cases concerning issues such as, serious non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, physical chastisement, substance misuse, mental health, and other child protection concerns. He is also experienced in residence and contact disputes, applying for injunctive applications and ex-parte non-molestation applications and specific issue applications concerning children. Amar is insightful and supportive and always working for the best outcome for clients. When clients find themselves in the court arena he is an invaluable support to them.

NNAMDI INEGBU

CONSULTANT SOLICITOR
LLB (The Manchester Metropolitan University)

Nnamdi is a member of The Law Society Criminal Litigation Accreditation (CLAS) Membership Scheme and he is an experienced and respected advocate. Nnamdi has represented in a number of high profile cases including murders, serious sexual offences, fraud and high value drug cases. Nnamdi is a 24 hour duty solicitor and regularly attends at Police Stations, the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court. Nnamdi fights for justice for his clients and is recognised in the criminal courts for his skill with clients who find themselves facing criminal charges.

ROHAN REES

CONVEYANCING ASSISTANT – Non solicitor
MMATH – (The University of Sheffield) & CLC SQA Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice – Level 4

After graduating from Sheffield University with a Masters in Mathematics Rohan decided against a career as a professional mathematician much to our benefit. He started out gaining experience in IT and accounts before eventually joining Harry Boodhoo & Co in 2012 to gain some experience in accounts and the legal profession. Rohan spent some time in the practice experiencing all areas of law before deciding upon conveyancing and is now an assistant conveyancer. Rohan recently acheived outstanding marks in his Level 4 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice and has developed his skills in IT and is well on his way to becoming a fully qualified Licensed Conveyancer acting for buyers, sellers and lenders. Rohan keeps a cool head and is training in all aspects of property law, making transactions run smoothly for our clients. Rohan assists in delivering a consistently high quality conveyancing service to our clients.
Rohan is a keen sportsman enjoying football and tennis.

MICHELLE MANNING

ASSISTANT & SECRETARY (Criminal Department)

Michelle joined the practice in 2013 and is an experienced legal secretary and assistant dealing with criminal cases. Michelle has worked consistently in the Criminal Department as secretary and assistant.

DEBRA FOX

LEGAL SECRETARY (All areas and HR assistant) 

Debra specialises in family law and assists in dealing with family cases but she has experience in all areas of law.

HOLLY MCLAUGHLIN

Holly is a legal secretary and assistant. Holly joined the practice at the beginning of 2019 having developed a keen interest in the law.

Holly graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 2018 with a first class honours degree in Forensic Biology and this experienced combined with her skills in communication and dealing with people provides her with an interesting perspective on her work in dealing with criminal and family cases.

KATARZYNA BAGNUCKA

ASSISTANT (Book-Keeping)

Kasia studied for 5 years at the Academy of Management in Lodz, Poland, studying International Study of Finance and Banking. She spent 5 years gaining experience in sales and as a mortgage advisor in the banking sector before arriving at Harry Boodhoo & Co to join us as an office junior. Kasia’s excellent interpersonal skills and intelligence soon landed her in book-keeping where she is enjoying developing her knowledge and skills. So having started at the grass roots level Kasia is now a trainee book keeper and has adapted to changes in the practice and shares our vision for the future. She joined us in 2014 and hasn’t looked back.
